SLUSH BUSTER
THE UNIQUE NEW SUPER-HYDROPHOBIC POLYMER FOR SNOWMOBILES

Repels slush, snow and ice from your tunnels, chutes and tracks. Easily the best value in real weight reduction.

Toronto Canada, November 20, 2006

SLUSH BUSTER is an exciting new discovery by Aurora Alpine, which will help sledders get more pleasure and performance from their snowmobiles. SLUSH BUSTER is a clear polymeric coating that reduces the adhesion of slush, ice and snow on your sled. It’s applied to the tunnel, suspension, skis and any other part of your sled where you get heavy accumulation.

As one sledder put it, “What’s the use of spending a bunch of money on light weight suspension parts if you haul around a ton of snow?” Reducing the ice and snow build up on your sled is easily the best value in real weight reduction. The more weight that you drag around, the more fuel you will burn and the more your snowmobile’s speed and performance will suffer.

Another benefit is that it reduces the damage caused by ice; breaking away from the tunnel and jamming the track as well as damage to the suspension and track from freeze up when the sled sits overnight. Most sledders carry metal pry bars or other tools with them to hack away at the ice to prevent this damage, but this can result in scraping and gouging the finish of you snowmobile with resulting rusting or corrosion of the scratched parts. The reduction in fuel consumption alone, will more than pay for the product.

SLUSH BUSTER is tough and durable. It’s perfectly clear so, other than the spectacular shine, you won’t even know it’s there. It’s safe for most hard surfaces, including decals, aluminum, paint and plastic. It’s not recommended for use on clear coat as the finish is too delicate. Some sled owners are coating their entire machines because in addition to shedding snow, it makes clean up of dirt, mud, road salt, exhaust soot as easy as rinse and wipe. They love the compliments they get from other sledders about how shiny and new their sled looks. It also protects against corrosion and rust.

The secret is VS721, a super hydrophobic (sheds water) polymer, developed by Aurora Marine Industries (the parent company), to protect the bottom of boats and increase their performance. It’s so slick that virtually noting sticks to it and it seals the surface to protect it. On boats, it has been proven to prevent attachment of marine growth, seal the surface against water penetration, protect against blistering, increase speed and reduce fuel consumption. The speed and performance increases claims have been well documented and proven on the race course by winning the World Championship, National Championship, Mercury High Points Championship and numerous other awards. Durability was proven by running a boat at speeds up to 145 mph and even after months of this torturous treatment, loss of coating was minimal.

In 2005 a snowmobile enthusiast, who was so impressed with the performance of VS721 on their boat, decided to try it on their snowmobile. It worked! It kept their tunnel and suspension clean of slush, ice and snow better than any of the silicone and cooking oil sprays or waxes that they had tried in the past and lasted for weeks instead of hours. The rest, as they say, is history. Word soon got around and hundreds of other sledders started clamoring for it. The company modified the formula for better adhesion to snowmobile surfaces and branded it SLUSH BUSTER, for snowmobiles.

SLUSH BUSTER was also tried in the chutes of snow blowers and was found to reduce the build up of snow and ice which plugs up the chute and impairs performance. It eliminates the necessity of stopping the machine to poke out the build up.

Aurora Alpine was set up as a division of Aurora Marine Industries Inc. to supply the snowmobile market with unique performance enhancement products. SLUSH BUSTER is the first product, but President Richard Kittar says that the company is busy developing a full line of high tech products that will clean, maintain and protect snowmobiles and enhance their value. SLUSH BUSTER and other Aurora Alpine Products will soon be available at your local Snowmobile Dealerships and Performance Shops.
